Sam is Home

Sam got home from the hospital today. Everything is going well, she's just really sore (understandably). They sent us home with a list of stuff she should and should not be doing, a list of medicine to take and a couple prescriptions. Considering they were just finishing up the surgery this time last week, it's amazing she's home already. It's nice to have her home again.

If you are local and want to help out at all, meals would be helpful (and cool). Seriously, could you see a fat guy like me turning down food?

I wish I were closer so I could offer physical help, but I do want to send my love. Aside from the night shift, I loved working in the cardiac unit at the hospital. It was a great place to see people for who they are, including their strengths overcoming fears. Sami, you are one of the strongest people I know. If you can raise 5 kids (yes, hubby counts), I think you can make it through anything :)

I'm so glad she's home! Make her take it easy. I wish we lived closer so that we could help out. We love you guys!

Yay! I am glad they let her go home since that must mean she is doing ok. I wish we lived there so I could help, too, but please know that we are praying for your recovery every day. Even the girls do during their night prayers.
