Oh yeah, Peyton had a birthday

.. but I can't post any pictures of his "party" because the computer hates me. Well, the feeling is mutual, computer!

I will post pictures whenever I can, but until then you can picture in your head Peyton opening presents and eating cake. You could also look at pictures from his last birthday. He just destroyed that cake. Take that, cake!

Wiggly Party

For Peyton's birthday on Saturday, we went to the Wiggle's Play Land that is in Frisco. It's supposed to be like the only one in North America or something.

Peyton in one of the play areas. I had to convince him he wanted to play.

Here's a gang of some kids in red cars. They had a bunch of cars that kids could drive around like the Big Red Car. If you have no idea what the Big Red Car is, lucky you.

Yeah for playing.

This is Dylan, and a kid in the background that's about to take his car.

Overall the kids had fun doing it, but I bet you'll never find a place where parents look more bored. I think I saw one guy trying to cut his eyes out with a plastic knife from the Yummy Yummy Cafe. At least the kids liked it.

Catching Up

Ok, since I haven't written anything in the past two weeks, I should probably post something of substance. Well, that's not going to happen, friend. Here are some quick updates of the kids.

Andi:
Andi got her soccer jersey at her second game, so she is officially part of the team. Now if we can only get her to pay attention to the game and not watch people on the sidelines or the kids on the other teams, we'll be good to go. Oh, and when General Conference was starting, she said "We get to listen President Hinckley, right?" I reminded her that President Hinckley had passed away, and she stared at me in disbelief for a little bit. She must have been traumatized.

Dylan:
Dylan has seemed to get passed the terrible twos. He helps out quite a bit around the house. I don't have to compare him to a natural disaster quite as much. The other night we were eating dinner, and he wasn't saying please. I reminded him, "Say please, dang it!" "Please, dang it!" "Well, at least he didn't say the other word." "Please, damn it." "Yep, that's the one." Oops.

Peyton:
Peyton turns two on Saturday. He is in the terrible twos now. Will it never end?

Soni:
Soni has had a nasty cough again for the past few days. We took her to the pediatrician, and she still has bronchiolitis. Some day she'll get over it. We hope.

That's all I've got for now. I need to go cower in a corner because a thunderstorm is heading this way and NBC is predicting death and destruction.

Stupid Weather, Stupid NBC Affiliate

Since tonight was Thursday night, I sat down to watch the Thursday night TV shows that I like. I saw the first segment of "My Name is Earl", and then there was nothing but this afterward:

Ooooo, a big scary storm in the area. We need to show you how much it is raining in 40 different cities and show how the storm is moving, blah blah blah. I'm sorry, but unless that storm has picked up the city of Dallas and it is hurtling toward my little town and will inevitably land on my house, you should not interrupt "The Office"!!!

Do I care a little too much? Maybe.

Soccer Pictures

Here are some pictures from Andi's soccer game.

For some reason, the smart people running the league ordered 4 jerseys for the 6 kids on the team. The coach's kid still had his jersey from last year, but Andi was stuck without one. Here she is playing for team Barbie.

Woo hoo, a face off! You can see the excitement on the kid's faces.

I don't know what's going on here.

I think the referee is setting up a free kick for the other team.

Soccer

Andi had her first soccer game on Saturday. It reminded me of this. I'll post actual pictures from her game some time in the future.
