We took Andi and Dylan shopping for school clothes yesterday. (Can't believe it's only three weeks until school starts, and that we'll have two kids in school.) Heather forwarded an Old Navy coupon to us that saved us 30%!!! There's nothing I like more than saving money. Well, I like my wife and kids more. I also like food more than money, since I will part ways with money for food. Then I guess you need to count the 49ers, and the High School Musical franchise. Anyway, I like saving money a lot, so the coupon was wicked awesome.
We got the kids some pants and a couple of shirts. Dylan got the coolest shirt ever!
Yeah, buddy! You may ask why I didn't just take a picture of him in the shirt instead of making this one. Well smarty pants, our camera is not working at all, so this is going to have to be just as good.
It's a little harder to shop for clothes with Andi. She's kind of picky. Apparently every piece of clothing she owns has to have pink on it somewhere. If she had her choice, this is how she would dress every day of the week.
Sam had to talk her out of the Pepto Bismol look and convince her to buy some non-pink clothes. She still got some pink stuff, just not so much that it's sickening.
So after the trip to Old Navy, we hit Target and finished up. Now we just need to buy our list of school supplies and we'll be ready for school. Woo hoo! Does Costco sell 120 packs of glues sticks? It seems like that's how many we'll need.

Amazing paint skills. I think Jace needs A shirt like Dylan's too.
LOVE the pictures, they're great! You may have to start a whole series.
That's really a bummer about your camera...any idea what's the matter with it? If I hadn't already promised my sister she could have our old one I'd let you borrow it...
Someday Andi will thank Sam for talking her out of the pepto look...trust me.
Um... huh? Does our conversation of last friday hold still?? Doesn't look like it.
You need to send Andi to a uniform school. Ethan has no choice but to match others and, regretfully, may not wear anything Spiderman. Ah, the woes of school zoning.
If we ever move to Dallas, can I take Andi school shopping? I bet that Aunt Brookie would be able to talk some fashion sense into her... of course, I might help fuel her pink obsession. There's a serious lack of it at my house...
By the way, your pictures are better than words. So much better than words.
Love the pictures Cam! I can't say I blame Andi for loving pink!! That's my girl!
Brooks: Our school district only requires uniforms beyond Elementary school. So, we have a few years before we need to do that...unfortunately. And, yes, our conversations still holds true. I don't know...
I no longer have the patience for clothes shopping, I go ebay all the way. I buy clothes by the lot, get unique clothes I can't find here (or afford there), save money, and avert the trip to the store with kids. You should try it sometime. I got Naomi's entire school wardrobe for about $40 last year. When Sabian was born, I got a his first year supply of clothing for $20, beat that! The used clothes people sell on ebay are not used the way my kids use clothes, and my kids wear out the new ones just as fast as the used ones, so I see no loss.
